You’ll need to book an appointment to drop the bike off at our HQ in Clapham (10a Blandfield Rd, London SW12 8BG). We also have drop off locations in Thetford & Canterbury (although dropping off at these can sometimes affect the quote - so please ask well in advance if considering dropping off outside of London).
Yes! Where possible we will collect the bike from your address in person. Alternatively we use a specialist courier or Uber’s to collect on our behalf (this will be specified during the quote process).
During the quote process we’ll specify on whether we’d recommend Courier taxi or Uber collection and quote accordingly. For those no where near London we’ll usually recommend courier collection. For those inside London (or not far out of the M25) it’s usually most cost affective for the Uber or taxi option.
Courier
We have recently changed our specialist courier partner. It means road/gravel bikes no longer need boxing up or packaging. You can hand over the bike as it is to the driver.
If you are sending us a Brompton, the courier cost will be slightly cheaper if you already have a Brompton delivery box. However if you don’t have a box that isn’t an issue – our courier can still collect it regardless.
Taxi/Uber
Uber collection couldn’t be any simpler! We will book the collection at a day/time of your choice - the car will usually arrive within a few minutes. All you need to do is remove the front wheel (or fold the bike if a Brompton) and get the driver to stick the back seats down.
If it’s a taxi collecting you won’t even need to take the wheel off!
If you’re sending the bike by courier it’s your responsibility to ensure it is safely packaged for the journey. If you are unsure on how to do this please ask and we’ll share some step by step instructions.
Bank transfer - it's an instant payment completed on receipt of the bike.
As soon as the bike arrives by courier we will immediately unbox & send payment to you by bank transfer.
No problem! We’d also be happy to pay you by Paypal using the ‘For Goods & Services’ option. Paypal charge 4% for this service and that would be at your expense. Using this option gives your up front payment & us buyer protection.

But what doesn’t vary is the performance of the bike sold - all bikes are sold serviced, test ridden & ready to be ridden away (+ they come with a warranty).

Selling Your Bike
Please fill in our quote form and we will give you a valuation! You are then either able to accept this value in cash or use it against the value of your new bike purchase at Marcus' Bikes.

It is best if when filling in our quote form, please be as accurate as possible and provide detailed high-quality photographs accurately displaying the condition of the bike.
